About Our Rent and Mortgage Strike Movement
It’s common sense: if we don’t have income, we can’t pay the rent or mortgage. Many of us are already unable to make our housing payments. Tens of thousands, or millions, more will be unable to make these payments by May 1st. We need to stand together and stop the cruel and senseless evictions and foreclosures that are imminent.
The health and well-being of our children, our seniors - all of us - is at stake. Together we have the power to force the politicians to recognize our reality.
Together, we need to make them recognize that housing is a basic human right.
On April 1st we are issuing a 30-day notice.
On May 1st, if the government has failed to act, we will act as a people. Those of us who are able to will take action together by withholding our rent, or mortgage payments, until our Government does the right thing, and helps save lives by keeping people housed.
We will go on strike!!!
